Pierre Alechinsky is een Belgische schilder - graficus geboren op 19 oktober 1927 te Brussel. Samen met Dotremont was Alechinsky de drijvende kracht achter de Belgische Cobra-beweging. Typerend aan het werk van Alechinsky is dat hij meerdere technieken in zijn werk combineert.
